Jack's 2nd Birthday

Our baby boy is TWO now!  Lyla and Hank wanted to badly to adequately celebrate Jack, but we were struggling to come up with things that he would actually like to do.  We started the day with a doughnut breakfast, followed going to exercise class and with a trip to Pump It Up! for some bounce time.  Lunch time provided Jack with his all-time favorite food (French Fries!) at Chik-Fil-A and ended with a hike at Coyote Hills with Dad.

Sunday we had a Cars-themed birthday party for Jack.  He's been going through a crazy cars/trucks/vehicles phase where he can't seem to get enough.  I made the mistake of letting Jack see his cake before it was time to eat it.  He looked at it silently for quite a while, then wailed when he found out he couldn't dig into it right away.  All was forgiven when he actually got to take a bite though!

Jack took awhile to get his bearings with unwrapping presents, but once he got the hang of things he was all about it!  There was lots of "wow" and "oooh" when he saw all his gifts.  Jack enjoyed a stuffed Lightning McQueen and "Cars 3" book from Lyla, Lego Duplo cars from Hank, a scooter from Mom and Dad, a big ride on Jeep and Hotwheels cars from Maga and Paga, a Little Tykes grill from Grammy and Pa and play food from Aunt Emma.
