Daddy and Paga's Big Utah Caravan of Fun Trip

While Maga and I went to Young Women's Camp for the week, Dustin and Paga took all three kids in the van for a road trip to Utah to visit cousins.  It's been years since we've had the kids do a decent road trip, and it was Jack's first experience.  They made it to Utah in about 15 or so hours.  The kids were fantastic, but those bladders are small!

Once they got there they settled right in to Uncle B and Aunt Liz's house.  The majority of the week they were watched over by Aunt Liz and Aunt Aubrey, along with all their older cousins (it's so great to be the youngest cousins because you have built-in babysitters when you're born!).  Trips were taken to the splash pad, museums, the Salt Lake City Temple, and to Uncle Bret and Aunt Aubrey's house.  Lots of time was spent on electronics, hanging out with each other, and even a big extended family soak in the hot tub.

There were lots of tears shed when they had to leave (not sure if it was sadness over leaving or realizing how long of a trip they had to get back home), but they blow was softened once they realized we'd see everyone in a few weeks when we trekked up to Montana.  Dustin and Papa split the trip home over two days so as not to overload the kids (or themselves).  Everyone made it back home in one piece, exhausted but so excited to tell me about all their fun adventures.  I'm a little sad that Maga and I missed out on all the family time, but I think it's a pretty neat experience that the kids got to have such a major trip with just the men in their lives.  Big thanks to Papa for helping Dustin make the trek possible.
