Lyla started Transitional Kindergarten at Ardenwood Elementary this year. Her first official day of school was Wednesday, August 26th. I was impressed with how confident she was to walk into Mrs. Savage's classroom on the first day. She gave me a quick hug by the front gate and said, "It's okay Mom, you can leave now. I'll be fine." When I went to pick her up she declared that the day was so awesome that she didn't even know where to start. I asked her if she would be going back the next day, and she very enthusiastically said, "YES!". I hope every day is just as awesome as her first.
