Gilroy Gardens

This past week Lyla and Hank's Paga has been on vacation.  He spent a lot of time with us as a result!  They both went with us to Aqua Adventure earlier in the week, and then late Wednesday they decided they would take us the kids and I to Gilroy Gardens the next day.  It was such a fun surprise for Lyla and Hank to wake up to!  Lyla remembered going last fall, but Hank had no context.  He did, however, understand that Lyla was excited so it must be good.  Plus, I said there would be "rides", which he's getting the concept of more and more and knows that that is something he likes very much.

We stayed at the park pretty much the entire time it was open!  Hank had no nap until after 4pm with no crying, fussing, or meltdowns.  That's how much fun that amusement park is for the kids.  Plenty of shade, lots of water elements for the kids to stay cool, and tons of rides that are age-appropriate for younger kids.  Hank did surprisingly well holding still for rides, and holding on extra tight (when reminded by me).  There were too many fun things to count, and when Lyla was asked later what her favorite part of the day was, she said emphatically, "All of it!".
