Lyla, Hank and Jack - Spring Soccer Season

We were actually able to have a Spring soccer season!  Very last minute, things fell into place and everyone was able to have an abbreviated season in their respective groups.  Lyla had a great time during her first season of 9 v 9 play, and they ended the season 5-0-1.  It was great to see the girls return to play after a year off, and we found Lyla got QUITE aggressive during her time off.  She played the attacking mid-field position as well as a little at wing.  We're excited to see the team get at it during State Cup!  Hank finally got to experience his first season with his Elite team that he got on right before COVID hit.  He learned so much this season and found his stride in a defensive position.  The team ended their spring season 4-1-1.  We are excited for them to get in some summer play, starting with a tournament in Tahoe Father's Day weekend.  Jack had his first rec soccer experience with a team coached by Dad.  It was a little challenging as he had to play U8 and there were quite a few young 5.5 year olds on the team that didn't have any experience either.  They made so many improvements that by the end of the season they were scoring goals and able to better understand how the game is played.  We are so grateful for the opportunities we had as a family to get back to sports and let our bodies get some much needed exercise.
