Hank's 8th Birthday

We celebrated Hank's 8th birthday quarantine-style.  We started off the weekend with cupcakes and a birthday song at Hank's soccer practice, then woke up early and had a donut crawl, visiting Psycho Donuts, Yum-Yum Donuts, and GoNutz.  The kids voted GoNutz as their favorite (what can I say, they're loyal fans), but Dad and I really liked the quality of Yum-Yum Donuts.  The kids came home and were able to play endless hours of Nintendo Switch (Hank's dream come true!), then Dad took the kids on a long bike ride while Mom got some cleaning done around the house.  The evening concluded with Costco cheese pizza and Coke for dinner and Baskin-Robbins ice cream for dessert.  We even snuck in a big-screen viewing of "Wall-E" (Hank's all-time favorite movie).

Sunday morning we kept things simple and laid low until it was time for Hank's baptism at the church.  That was a wonderful spiritual experience that I'm glad so many could participate in.  Following his baptism and confirmation, we headed to Maga and Paga's for a birthday celebration.  We had a surprise Zoom birthday party with cousins and Hank got to open all his presents and have birthday pie to cap off the weekend.  We love you so much Hank, and we're proud of all the great decisions you're making each day!
