Christmas this year was pretty low key. We went on a few hikes, watched a lot of movies, ate a LOT of food (resulting in someone barfing at bedtime on Christmas). The kids were thrilled with what Santa brought them - a Nintendo Switch! They played and played and because they aren't used to that kind of screen time, their eyes suffered quite a bit and we had to do some "screen free" games. They've since recovered! It was great to just lay around all day on Christmas and not have anywhere to go or anything to do. It truly was one of the best days I've had in a long time. Although these holidays were different, it wasn't all bad. Being able to spend time reflecting and thinking and being together was really wonderful. We certainly closed out the year on a high note!
