Oakland Zoo

We decided to check out ALL the zoos that the Bay Area has to offer this summer.  We saved my personal best for last - the Oakland Zoo!  They've recently opened up their California Trail addition and we spent a really long time getting lost on the gondola ride, boardwalk, and nature preserve center.  We also made sure we saw all the old favorites: lions, tigers, elephants, zebras, and monkeys.  After we wrapped at the zoo we stopped past Smitten's for an ice cream pick-me-up.  The place never disappoints and the treats were gone in record time!
