MLK Weekend Sac Town Visit

We took advantage of the three day weekend for Martin Luther King Jr. Day and made a trip up to Sacramento to see the Keough fam!  Lyla and Hank were so excited to see their cousins, and they kept asking me and asking me how many more days until the big day finally came.  The wait felt like forever, but it did, indeed, finally come.  We headed up Sunday afternoon after church and made it up in time for lots of playing, watching the Steelers game, and partaking in a sweet DIY nacho bar.

Monday we got up and moving and headed over to Folsom for some outdoor exploring. We went along this cute little trail that took us over a bridge and down by the water, which provided lots of entertainment via throwing rocks into the water (always a crowd pleaser!).  We had lunch together, then it was already time to head back towards home.  Bummer!  All the kids were upset and kept asking their respective parents when we were going to get together again.  Not soon enough, I'm afraid.  I am super glad that the kids all get along so well together and hopefully we'll start getting together more with the summer coming on and the kids all continuing to get older and deal better with car trips and schedules being thrown off!
