Family 5K

This month the ENTIRE family decided to do a Christmas themed 5K together.  Lyla and Hank wanted to improve upon their previous run times, and Jack wanted to attempt to complete the entire course (he was pretty confident he could run the whole way!).  We recruited Maga to be Jack's running buddy, Mom was with Hank, and Dad was with Lyla.  The run was very successful!  Hank and Lyla both beat their previous times, and Lyla ended up finishing in under 30 minutes.  Jack was fairly hopeless about finishing, but did manage to come in at just under an hour with Maga. Jack won a prize for the best Christmas themed costume (he wore his penguin suit!) and Lyla won one of the raffles.  It was a positive experience to do something athletic as a family and the kids are already itching to race again soon!
