Jack: 15 Months

We are in full blown toddler-don at the Tillman household!  Jack is toddling around all over our house.  He's happy to just wander around the perimeter of the inside of the house (or Maga and Paga's house!).  Jack is truly loving this ability to walk and roam independently.  Right on the 15 month mark, Jack figured out how to get himself up off the floor with no help, which is usually when I consider my kids to be truly "up and running".  The biggest challenge we have now is trying to get Jack to hold our hand when we want him to go somewhere (or NOT go somewhere!), but it's a small problem when you factor in how happy-going and congenial Jack is.

Jack isn't saying too much, but he does say "dog", "mama", "dada", and "baby".  He makes attempts at plenty of other words, but they're not super clear yet.  He also really enjoys babbling, and at times I'm fairly certain he's convinced he's contributing a full conversation through all those gurgles and babbles.

Jack is starting to show more interest in playing with Hank and Lyla.  He likes to get into the mix of what they're doing (which they don't always love).  They really do show so much love towards Jack, and he's trying desperately to keep up with the two of them.  Most days he's super worn out till it's nap time or bedtime just from trying to match their pace.  He loves the giant fluffy stuffed pillow pal dog that Uncle B gave him, and he also loves baby dolls (specifically the ones that open and shut their eyes).  He also shows a unique fondness for toothbrushes and travel size hand sanitizer.

Jack is a great sleeper, and he consistently sleeps through the night, sleeping in at times till 9am!  He takes 1 nap that can last up to 4 hours too.  He's been so amazing at sleeping and it's proven to be quite a blessing in our household.  I can get so much done when he rests so well!  He's a great eater, and he loves eating fruit especially.  He has a major sweet tooth, but he's pretty good about eating most of the other foods put in front of him so that he can get some dessert.  We're holding strong with 7 teeth, but I'm hoping more are soon on the horizon.  The crazy amounts of drool I've seen lately give me suspicion that more teeth are coming in the next week or two.  Jack still has the least amount of hair of any of my kids, but he's had two small haircuts to help keep his hair from looking too scraggly.

I am so excited to see what the next few months bring before we hit the big 18 month milestone.  Until then Jackster...
