Last weekend I got the pleasure of taking Lyla to see "The Nutcracker" at the San Francisco Ballet. We went with my friend Wendy, and her daughter, Genevieve. We went to a "Family Day", which included a free stuffed animal, pictures with some of the cast, and a cute intermission snack from Miette. The girls did wonderful sitting through the show and they seemed to enjoy it almost as much as their moms did! I'm glad I spent some time going over the story in books so that she could better follow along the sequence of events in the ballet. I'm hoping this could be the start of a fun tradition for Lyla each holiday season.
