In mid-January we decided to try something new and went on a whale watching boat trip down in Monterey! The water was rougher than anticipated which lead to both Dad and Lyla getting seasick. Mom was lukewarm about the experience, but Hank and Jack loved it. The sea spray, the wind whipping around them, the boat violently rocking up and down, and let's not forget the sea life spotted! We were able to see many whales, dolphins, sea lions, and sea otters. I don't think we'll go back and do it again anytime soon, but I'm glad we were able to do something unique to the coast!
