Lyla took an interest in the Harry Potter series this year. We foolishly told her that we would take her to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter if she finished all seven books in the series. We were sure there was no way she'd make it through, but once again, she proved us wrong! Dad took Lyla down to Los Angeles the weekend before school started for a day at Universal Studios Hollywood. Lyla said it was even better than what she imagined it would be. She had her own wand choose her at Ollivander's and used it all around the World to cast spells and create magic. They also forayed into other parts of the park and had such a blast. Martina spent the next morning with Lyla hanging out while Dad got some work done, and then Dad and Lyla went down to Santa Monica for a quick trip to the beach and playing games on the pier. She came home with the biggest grin on her face and talked for days about all the special memories she made with Dad. Mischief managed!
