This summer we made our annual trek out to Ohio for some quality time with Grammy, Pa, and Aunt Emma. Our trip consisted of fishing, a Donut Trail with Mom and Pa (12 donut shops all in one morning!), an all-day girls shopping trip, a Red's baseball game, a visit to Jungle Jim's, sampling Graeter's Hungry Hungry Hippo ice cream, fireworks (and Jack's first burn!), taking in two movies at the theatre, good Cincinnati food (like Skyline and LaRosa's Pizza!), a visit to the fish hatchery, a quick visit for the girls to get mani/pedis, lots of game playing, catching fireflies, a little gardening (including lots of blueberry picking!), some amazing landscape photography taken by Dad, and lots of time relaxing and catching up. It was good to spend time together and the trip was over before we knew it. The kids were sad to leave (none sadder than Lyla), but we are excited to see them again in September!
