For Thanksgiving this year we flew out to Ohio to spend some quality time with Grammy, Pa, and Aunt Emma. The week was spent lounging around, watching football, taking in two movies ("Coco" and "The Star"), lots and lots of shopping and browsing and buying, copious amounts of eating, Ellen and Emma running a 10K together in 28 degree weather, and some miscellaneous outdoor yard work/running around playing while Pa worked in the garden. It was a nice, simple, relaxing time. I'm hoping we take some of that zen with us now that we're back to our busy schedules in Cali. Here's hoping for a mellow, peaceful Christmas season now!
