Hank: Gymnastics 2015-16

This Fall Hank started doing gymnastics once a week at Pacific West Gymnastics.  Hank has been itching to have his own "thing" to do, and this seemed like a good fit.  Gymnastics at his age runs a bit more like a gym class, and Hank eats it up.  He usually goes through a round of 5 - 7 rotations, including bar work, balance beam, floor obstacle course, trampoline, foam pit, and trampoline runway.  It's been interesting to watch Hank navigate listening in class and how to deal with others when they aren't following the rules.  He's been a really good boy and very compliant with doing what his teacher asks.  If you ask him what his favorite thing is about gymnastics, he's likely to tell you the foam pit or the trampoline (both areas where he can really let loose).  I'm proud of the progress he's made over the past year, and I'm especially proud at how much he's harnessing his strength!  He's the only kid in his class that can control his body when they're doing flips and leg raises on the bar.  Ultimately, I'm happy that he's happy doing his own thing.
