Seymour Marine Discovery Center / Santa Cruz Trip
Last weekend we used our ever-giving library cards to get free passes to the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. There are places around the Bay that I'm curious to try out, but don't necessarily want to pay a lot of money figuring out how cool it really is. Library free/discounted passes are pretty awesome for that. The center had a great 45 minute tour that outlined what they do at the center, along with some information about the life you'll find in the ocean near Santa Cruz. Lyla was pretty stoked that she got to touch a leopard shark, and Hank was quite mesmerized with the larger-than-life lobster. I was pretty fascinated with how large some of the whale skeletons were that were out for display (pretty mind-blowing!). After the visit, we stuck around for some beach time at the boardwalk (which mostly consisted of playing in the sand). Another great day of sun, surf, and great family exploring.
