Keough Family End of Summer Visit

This past weekend my brother and his family came up to visit us for a quick weekend trip.  Their time with us was super short, but we really packed in the fun!  Sadie's birthday is next Thursday, so we couldn't pass up the chance to get her a cake and sing her a round of "Happy Birthday", right? After that, my brother and I took Max, Sadie, and Lyla to an Oakland A's ball game Friday night.  It was so awesome!  It was a big game against the Angels, and they won 5-3!  Lots of action, lots of excitement, and lots of well-behaved children.  It made for a pretty late night since we stayed for the entire game, but that didn't hold us back from getting up and at 'em early the next morning to head down to Capitola Beach for a visit to the original Pizza My Heart, followed by a trip to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.  We said our goodbyes after wearing ourselves out at the beach, and it was tough to go our separate ways.  Lyla and Hank really enjoyed their time with cousins, and it's fun to see Lyla and Sadie's bond grow over time.  Lyla reasoned with us that next time, Uncle Aaron and his family should stay "at least 3 - 4 days".  Amen, sister.
