This was the first year we celebrated St. Patrick's Day in any way. Since we don't drink, the most I've ever gotten into the holiday spirit was by wearing green. This year, though, we started off with a holiday-themed breakfast. We had kiwi, green eggs, a green smoothie, and some yogurt that I topped with yellow sprinkles and dubbed the "pot of gold". Lyla liked the concept, but she's like me and didn't REALLY like eating things that aren't their natural color.
In the afternoon, we made some green rice krispie treats and went on a scavenger hunt in search for our pot of gold. Lyla did surprisingly well at figuring out the answers to the clues and found her gold treasure in no time. Luckily, she was happy to share her bounty with all of us.
So, not the best attempt at celebrating the holiday - but it was a good start!
