Lyla & Hank: Basketball Season 2017-18

Lyla and Hank finished their first season of basketball at the Irvington Recreation Center.  Lyla played on the 1st/2nd grade co-ed team (Pumas) and Hank played on the PK/K co-ed team (Condors).  Neither of them had any prior experience so it was quite the steep learning curve.  We made a lot of progress!  Over the course of ten weeks they both learned a lot about the game.  Hank went from not wanting to participate to happily volunteering to go in each time a new set of subs went in.  Lyla went from being unsure of what was going on around her to finding her defensive mojo and was quite an aggressive defender.  Both kids ended the season saying that they would both want to do another season, so I'd say it was a positive experience overall.
