This past week was another eventful one! First off, Dustin had to go out of town to Los Angeles for work, so little Miss Lyla and her mom were left to have a few days and nights alone without dad around. Ellen was a little freaked out, but her and Lyla managed to survive, and Dustin made a successful presentation for his work. :)
Saturday proved to be pretty busy, with Dustin's birthday, Ellen's friend Martina coming to visit, and our church ward's Trunk or Treat activity. Below are some pictures from Saturday's festivities!
Our little family at the ward Trunk or Treat activity! And no, in case you were wondering, Dustin is not wearing a costume.
Lyla's pumpkin costume was a huge hit! Grandma Keough made it for her, and many compliments were made as to both Lyla's cuteness and how cute her costume was. Thanks Grammy! We love how she was completely passed out for her photo op at home, and think that her face in the sleepy picture very much resembles the shape and plumpness of the pumpkin!
Martina sadly moved away this past summer to start teaching Kindergarten in Indianapolis with Teach For America. She is sorely missed BUT we were happy to have her come visit us this past weekend and excited for her to finally meet Miss Lyla! Martina is a bit of a baby whisperer and Lyla slept like this for Martina pretty much the entire visit. :)
Lyla was so excited to be able to buy her dad a birthday present! Lyla and Dustin love to dance around and make up songs together, so Lyla ended up deciding to get her daddy an iPhone alarm clock dock so they can jam out to some rockin' tunes morning or night now!
